This is a full-time role for an 18-24 month period and is based in Belfast with the ability to work flexibly (3/2 hybrid working policy).

Our client, The Law Society of Northern Ireland is the professional body for the Solicitor profession with over 5,000 members, of whom circa 3,000 are in private practice. The Society has recently introduced a new organisational structure reflecting four principal areas of responsibility; Professional Development, Professional Conduct, Member Services and Policy & Engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of the Law Society and to contribute to a programme of transformational service improvement and modernisation. The Project Manager will support the Head of Professional Conduct who is currently undertaking a review of how the Law Society discharges its responsibility as a self-regulating profession and the future role of technology and systems in the modernisation agenda.

This role demands a dynamic and strategic project change manager to lead on systems scoping, understanding user requirements, and system implementation for an 18- 24 month period.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the scoping of new systems, including understanding the requirements of stakeholders, and working with technical teams to design and implement new solutions.
  • Ensuring that systems are implemented in a way that meets the needs of end-users, including working closely with stakeholders to identify their requirements and developing processes to incorporate these into system specifications.
  • Developing and implementing change management strategies that support the successful adoption of new systems, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communication.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks, and benefits, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of progress and that project goals are met.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a project change manager with a strong track record of delivering complex systems/change implementations on time and within budget. You will be familiar with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall and be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels and lead cross- functional teams to achieve project objectives.
