Our client, the SHS Group is one of Northern Ireland’s leading employers and privately owned companies with an annual turnover of over £640 million and over 1,300 employees across its 5 operating divisions.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO), SHS Group.

(Belfast Headquarters, operating across GB and Ireland)

Our client, the SHS Group is one of Northern Ireland’s leading employers and privately owned companies with an annual turnover of over £640 million and over 1,300 employees across its 5 operating divisions.

With an unrivalled commitment to brand development and delivering sustainable growth in the FMCG sector through its core grocery, convenience and on-premises channels the Group has evolved significantly since establishment in 1975. Walk into any supermarket or convenience store in Great Britain or Ireland and you will see products made, sold, or marketed by SHS Group. Their own brands include market leading products WKD, Shloer, bottlegreen, Merrydown Cider, Crucial Sauces, Zip & Sunny Jim firelighters and Maguire & Paterson matches. The Group also distributes brands including Highland Spring, Pot Noodle, Finish, Mars Drinks and Colgate, and is a market leader in the supply of own label herbs and spices in Britain and manufactures branded and private label condiments and sauces.

Following the promotion of the CFO to the Group CEO role, we are now supporting the recruitment of an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy and operations of SHS Group. As an integral member of the executive board, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction, leading transformation, and optimising commercial performance while driving sustainable growth in a dynamic and competitive industry. While it is not essential to have experience within the FMCG sector, it is critically important that the successful candidate has experience, operating and influencing in a high pace, complex corporate or Group structure.

This is one of the most exciting executive finance roles in the market and likely to be one of the most sought after finance roles in Northern Ireland this year. For a confidential discussion to explore your suitability and learn more about this exciting opportunity please contact Ciaran Sheehan or Claire McKee from Clarendon Executive, on +44 28 9072 5750.

Closing date for receipt of CV applications is 5pm, Wednesday 20th September 2023.
