This includes a programme of internal change seeing the creation of a new single Corporate and Support Services Directorate bringing previously separate functions together into a new leadership structure. This will ensure greater collaboration and will safeguard excellence in governance and operational support. The Corporate and Support Services Directorate will set the operating model for the organisation and will support and enable the work of the other Directorates in the delivery of front-line services to the communities they serve.
As part of the new Corporate and Support Services senior management team, the organisation is seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Assistant Director – Business Support.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Support Services, the Assistant Director – Business Support will lead the Business Support portfolio of services comprised of HR and OD, Business Support, Legal, Transformation PMO, ICT delivery, Information Governance, Health and Safety and Democratic Services. They will be pivotal in creating an enabling function that supports the operational business, develops consistent approaches and drives innovation and improvement from an agreed corporate operating model.
The role represents an excellent career opportunity for an experienced senior manager who has led a corporate service discipline and significant change in a large and complex organisation.
